Good Luck Andy!

Seattle will just never be the same to some people around Western Washington. Long time Chief Meteorologist Andy Wappler is leaving KIRO-TV for Puget Sound Energy. He said goodbye to the KIRO 7 crew Monday night. Andy is a true Seattle icon who took over for his dad in 2002 when Harry Wappler retired.

The Wappler family has been apart of KIRO-TV for as long as I can remember. Andy started at KIRO as a weekend Meteorologist and later took over the morning show, meaning you woke up with a Wappler and went to bed with a Wappler. It’s very sad to see him leave KIRO and you must be asking who gonna take over for Andy. Sorry Harry Wappler is not coming out of retirement. But chances are you have seen her before….

Good Luck Andy!
