the Make-A-Wish Foundation

Making a wish come true for a child may not seem like a lot, but to that child, it means the world. The Make-A-Wish Foundation helps grant wishes for children fighting life-threatening medical conditions. It’s a foundation close to my heart and I would like to take a moment to share a story with you.I met just such a child, a young boy named Nathan battling leukemia.

He loved the fact that I was on the radio, so he called me one day and told me he wished for a computer. It came true! Along with his dream computer he received over 15 Apple Gift Cards to buy music for it. I have never seen a child so happy! He passed away in 2006, barely 12 years old. However, I am so thankful that I could help the Make-A-Wish Foundation bring Nathan some happiness in his short time here.

With the change over of KLSY to Movin’ 92.5, the Make-A-Wish Radio-a-thon cannot continue. All I am asking you is to put yourself in Nathan’s place: if you were only 12 years old battling for your life, what would you want?

I have supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation since my start at KLSY.

Please take a moment and make a donation to Make-A-Wish come true.
